The mission of Coyote Action is to provide a national resource to present
unbiased educational information about coyotes, both the pros and cons of the
developing coyote population in North America, and the key players involved in
both sides of the ongoing debate about coyotes.
Coyote Action, Inc. was formed in May 2003 as an Ohio non-profit educational
organization. The founder believes that in the coming decades, the controversy about the future
of coyotes will rise to
become one of the major wildlife issues debated in this century in North
America.
Our objective is to establish and maintain an unbiased educational
Internet web site to present both scientific and non-scientific information
about coyotes and their ecology, including their interactions with humans, other
wildlife, domestic animals, and their environment.
It is the hope of the founders of Coyote Action that by providing a
centralized web library of information about coyotes (and the contentious
ongoing debate about the need for either their extermination or existence in
North America), all interested parties will have an enhanced opportunity to
learn fully about both sides of the issue and will therefore make more
informed decisions about the future of coyotes.
This web site is continually under construction, and will be continually updated.
Coyote Action welcomes any ideas and suggestions you might have as to its
content. If you or someone you know has expertise in the areas of coyote management
or protection, please contact us, as we need help in offering
well-balanced information on these issues. All contributions are greatly
appreciated. Please submit your information to us in the Coyote Basic
Information section.
